World Central Kitchen Serves Free Meals to Those Affected by the Eaton Fire



In response to the Eaton Fire, World Central Kitchen (WCK) is stepping in to provide free meals to evacuees and first responders. This evening, meals will be available at the following locations:

Currently Open Meal Distribution Locations:

  1. Saint Francis High School 200 Foothill Blvd, La Cañada Flintridge, CA Hours: 12 PM to 8 PM

  2. Pasadena City College - Student Parking Lot 31570 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA Hours: 5 PM to 8 PM

  3. Jack in the Box Altadena 2125 N Windsor Ave, Altadena, CA 91001 Hours: 5:45 PM to 8 PM

Those outside the evacuation zone are encouraged to visit Saint Francis High School or Pasadena City College for their meals, as road closures remain in effect for safety.

LA County Parks Introduces Care Camps for Fire-Affected Youth and Teens

To further support those impacted by the Eaton Fire, LA County Parks is launching Care Camps to provide a safe and fun environment for youth and teens. These camps will feature music, arts and crafts, sports activities, and field trips to notable locations such as the LA County Natural History Museum, La Brea Tar Pits, and Dodger Stadium. Meals, including breakfast, snacks, lunch, and supper (for teens), will be provided daily.

Camp Details:

  • Dates: Monday, January 13 – Friday, January 31, 2025

  • Hours:

    • Youth Camps (Ages 5-12): 8 AM – 5 PM

    • Teen Camps (Ages 13-17): 8 AM – 7 PM

  • Cost: Free

  1. Pamela Park: 2236 Goodall Avenue, Duarte, CA 91010

  2. Arcadia Park: 405 South Santa Anita Avenue, Arcadia, CA 91007

  3. LA County Arboretum: 301 N Baldwin Ave, Arcadia, CA 91007

  4. Crescenta Valley Park: 3901 Dunsmore Ave, La Crescenta, CA 91214

These initiatives by WCK and LA County Parks ensure both nourishment and emotional support for those affected by the fire. Let’s come together to aid our community during this challenging time.
